Mrs. Moreno's Counseling COrner

Hello!!!!

My name is Mrs. Moreno. I am the school counselor here at Monterrey Elementary School. I moved with my family from Texas in the summer of 2021. I have 2 kids, Elijah and Alea. We love Roswell and I am so excited to help your children grow.

I hope to equip your children with the tools to be successful individuals in the school and community.

Through whole class, small group and individual counseling with students, I hope to provide them with different avenues to gain a better knowledge of their social and emotional needs. Counseling is available to every student in the school setting.

Vision, Aim & Mission Statements

Through its school counseling program, Monterrey Elementary School will develop confident, well-educated students, who are equipped with the necessary strategies and skills in their quest for productive and successful lives as responsible leaders of today and tomorrow.

As counselors of the Roswell Independent School District, our aim is to empower students to be resilient high school graduates with future success plans to become productive citizens who are life-long learners. Counselors will advocate for equity and access for all students as they navigate their own path to success.

The mission of the Monterrey Elementary School Counseling program is to assist students in achieving their academic, social, emotional and college-career readiness skill so that they may develop into confident and independent individuals capable of positive social interactions and lifelong, sustainable achievements.
